Practice Report:

The 2017 GT4 Series Northern Cup arrived at Brands Hatch located in Fawkham, Kent for a full race weekend held over the 6th and 7th May.

Bullitt prepared for what would be a extensive plan of action with both one hour practice sessions and qualifying being held on Saturday afternoon.

FP1:

The lights went green for FP1 at 10:55am and Andy Meyrick took our McLaren GT4 570s on to the track  for the initial part of the session.

He immediately shot to the top of the timing sheets after just 5 laps with a very respectable best lap time of 1:34.907 putting our #33 car in P4.

Stephen Pattrick then took out our #33 for the second part of FP1, however he suffered a gearbox fault which curtailed the majority of his running.

When he returned to the track there were continuing problems that led to a spin. The car was then brought back to the pits and retired for the last part of the session.

We finished the session in P9.

FP2:

The action on track started at 2:25pm and we were immediately out on the track due to limited running in FP1.

Stephen Pattrick took the #33 out and put in a number of laps to establish the cause of the gearbox issue. However the problem continued leading to a pit stop for fault diagnosis.

After the fault was cleared Andy Meyrick jumped into the car and put in some very fast laps leading to a final best lap time of: 1:36.188

Final setup changes and fault diagnoses will now continue until qualifying.

Qualifying is at 5.35pm GMT.
